Kathleen is the Social Scientist on our Sales Team. Her 20-year career in the newspaper industry was a direct result of her love for meeting new people and hearing about their interesting stories. Kathleen gets excited about providing equipment for public parks as she strongly believes creating spaces for play and social interaction will lead to more connected communities and ultimately enhance the quality of life for everyone. You will soon want Kathleen as your new BFF as her loyalty, sincerity, and desire to do what’s right, will instantly win you over. While she may not agree with you all the time, she is devoted to every person and every project she is involved in. And then the next thing you know, you are agreeing with her! The Super Sociologist strikes again.

Mitchell is your go to for project design and sales for the BC Interior. His passion is working with professionals and members of the community to create meaningful and engaging outdoor spaces. His Diploma in Engineering Drafting gives him the ability to understand and communicate the technical aspects of any public space and his love for the outdoors explains the excitement he brings to every project. To Mitchell, seeing the vision of the City and the design of the Landscape Architect transform the landscape into an incredible destination park, was a memorable experience. As an avid mountain biker and back country skier, Mitchell understands the many benefits one gets from playing in the outdoors.
A RecTec maven, Danielle has done it all in the past 5 years, from reception to CAD design. Now, she has joined the sales team as the newest recruit. Danielle is looking forward to giving her customers the full RecTec experience, from design to installation and creating play spaces kids will keep coming back to. One might think that Danielle’s Degree in Criminology is a far cry from playground planning. In reality, her training helps us understand how important active outdoor play is for healthy child development. She also educates us on the many ways to reduce crime in playgrounds.
Greg is the one who guides RecTec projects from the point of sale through to installation. He also provides services after the park has been installed and completed. Put simply, when we need to know what’s happening with projects, parts, shipping, installation…. we ask Greg. After years of coordinating spray park installations, Greg has become the SME (subject matter expert). He’s the guy we go to before any equipment is purchased, to make sure it’s going to work on the site. Being a vegetarian runner, Greg’s our resident health nut (although he professes to a terminal weakness for ice cream and baked goods). And when he’s not out running or eating ice cream, he’s learning a new language, a new song or a little nugget of history.
Kathy has become the indispensable assistant to the Sales Team. From resolving warranty issues, ordering parts, to preparing quotes and sales proposals, Kathy is prudent in getting the work done. She loves the variety RecTec has to offer and the design of the new Dufferin Park in Surrey is one of her favourites. As a transplant from the Far East (New Brunswick), Kathy came out west looking for a change. While she has been active her whole life, only recently she has taken up golf. Kathy may be quiet and always smiling in the office, on family game night, a calculated and aggressive Kathy emerges.
The day of a Sales Support Specialist is filled with a mountain of administrative tasks to not only support the sales team, but also keep customers happy. Erika is always smiling as she challenges that mountain head on. When not coordinating all aspects of sales quotes and the accompanying assorted documents, Erika acts as a liaison between the customer and the sales rep and provides technical details, delivery requirements, and pricing when needed. Her degree in Business and background in Finance, helped to shaped her strong analytical skills and keen eye for details. As a mom to two active children, Erika can easily multitask and quickly switch focus to supporting the office staff and bringing in essential services such as cookies during busy times.
As the support for Administration and Customer Service, Kelsey ensures everything runs smoothly for RecTec customers and staff. Her problem solving skills and ability to create positive connections with customers has transferred over nicely from her previous career in Hospitality. Kelsey is our multi-tasker and your first point of contact. She keeps her eye on the fine details and helps coordinate product shipments. But don’t let that shiny dance costume fool you, Kelsey is tough as nails. She spends her weekends in the outdoors exploring the backcountry.
