Proud Supporters of the Steve Nash Foundation

The new playground at Central Park in Victoria has finally been installed! The new playground was officially unwrapped following the Grand opening, held on October 25th, 2006! The Grand Opening featured representatives from the Steve Nash Foundation, Corporate Donors, Olympic medal winner Silken Laumann, the Mayor of Victoria and hundreds of neighbourhood kids! The new playground has completely revamped the neighbourhood and has become the destination park in Victoria!

Last spring RecTec Industries was approached by the Steve Nash Foundation to help revive Central Park in Victoria. RecTec was thrilled to be a part of the donation to the city. Central Park marks the first installation of the KOMPAN's latest line - Edge on Vancouver Island. The playground features the soaring Edge Summit with breathtaking 24' steel slide. Surrounding the Summit is over $100,000 worth of equipment for children ages 2-12 from KOMPAN's other lines Elements and Galaxy. Elements redefines the world of play, with its curved design and meandering spaces, KOMPAN Elements is a retreat from the ordinary that stretches a child's imagination. The stand alone pieces from the KOMPAN Galaxy line, with their futuristic design stand out as sculptures and represent a new generation of play equipment. Galaxy is all about agility with its slanting design, moveable steel parts, sturdy rubber and colour spots, space age look and feel. All of the unique equipment is environmentally friendly and free of harmful PVC.
